Hi, my name's sheep. This is my little corner of the Internet. I'm a big fan of minimalism, so that may answer any and all questions as to why this website is not as "robust" as some of my past works. This website serves to document my projects, ramblings, and ideas. Enjoy your stay.
The following are my hobbies and interests by category.
Linux: I'm a huge Linux fan. I'm a distro developer and I love anything and everything GNU.
Network security/hacking: I love to pen test and crack!
Drawing: I drew a lot as a kid and gained a lot of skill through sheer dedication. I stopped for a long time, but now I've come back to drawing.
Cartoons: I love cartoons! Johnny Bravo, Ed Edd 'n' Eddy, Dexter's Lab, etc. I mostly like '90s cartoons and anime. I don't really care for today's anime, just the old ones with that artwork I love. I do like some new cartoons like Regular Show. I have an enormous cartoon and anime collection.
Old Comedies: I'm a sucker for The Three Stooges, The Honeymooners, The Jeffersons, Sanford & Son, etc. I'm a complete Stooge fanatic and Jackie Gleason is the bomb. I keep a Stooge poster in my kitchen.
Art: I was very artistic growing up, but I haven't drawn in years. That being said, I'm a huge fan of Fantasy art. Luis Royo is my favorite artist.
Piano and other instruments: I took piano lessons for over 10 years as a kid. Along the way, I also played many other instruments for school and myself.
Ragtime: Ragtime and early forms of jazz are some of my favorite kinds of musics. I look up to Tom Brier and Allen Dale a lot, they're insane. Scott Joplin was way ahead of his time! Some of my favorite songs are Maple Leaf Rag (duh), Blake's Breakdown, Frog Legs Rag, Charleston Rag, Darktown Strutter's Ball, Jungle Book Rag, and Original Rags to name a few.
Chiptunes: I'm really into chiptunes. The whole chip scene and keygens alike. My favorite old-school platforms are ZX, Genesis, and C64.
Creating digital music: I like to produce various strange electronic things using LMMS and any weird machines or glitches I can sample.
DJing: I'm a deejay; not a pause 'n' play! I've DJ'd many house parties in my day. ;)
Skateboarding: I quit when I was 14, but I am slowly trying to come back. I was probably the only 14-year-old you'd ever see ollieing a 10-stair like it was nothing. I had a lot of technical stuff down too. Who knows, maybe one day I can hit up the 10 again.
Swords and weapons: I like to collect swords, bludgeons, any kind of hand-to-hand weapon. I like to read about historical arms and the techniques used with them. My favorite shield is probably a targe. Don't ask me what my favorite sword, mace, armor, polearm, or anything else is, because I don't have one! lol. There are too many great arms with intricate use cases throughout history.
Nunchucking: I love nunchaku. I'm a whiz with 'em! I used to be in the FlowTricks FB group and submit videos of my skill. If you can find some practice chucks, I definitely recommend getting into it. It's loads of fun.
Working out: I love fitness and working out. I am particularly fond of calisthenic training. Some of my favorite exercises are cricus bells, weighted 1-arm push ups, weighted chins/pull ups, and chest dips.
Kickboxing: I like Muay Thai and practice my roundhouses on a wavemaster. Kickboxing is an awesome alternative sport, and I have a lot of fun seeing how powerful I can get my roundhouse to be.
Super Smash Bros: MELEE! I main Marth. I disrespect with Captain Falcon. Right now I am in my larva stage, training at home with my partner and getting all my techniques flawless. Eventually I will reveal my true power level. >:)
Yu-Gi-Oh! I want to win a YCS. I'm very competitive in YGO. My main decks are currently Kozmos and Atlanteans. My name on DN is "ovine"
Retrogaming: I am a Genesis fanboy and I always will be. I have an extensive library of retro games and I love emulators I stick to mostly NES up to PSX, with the exception of CPS1 and 2. I also do like AVGN, as I have been watching him since 2008.
Runescape: I play Old School RS. My username is "ovine," so feel free to reach out! I joined it shortly after it came out and got super rich. I don't play much anymore, but I am still considered wealthy today even with all the tremendous inflation and updates. Today, I am worth around 120m. I have 95 def, 92 atk/str, 70 pray, quest cape, fire cape, etc.
CABAL Online: I was an old school god in CABAL NA on server Venus. The veteran players today still remember me: TheSheep. I came back in mid 2015 anonymously and went from about 100m alz to 40b worth of gear in a few months. I am Rose now. If you play, you may recognize that name because people were wondering who I was coming out of nowhere with all this gear. All you need to know is that I am a master mercher and could get a lot more very quickly, but I choose not to because CABAL is a serious addiction for me. The temptation of bringing back my glory as the true sheep is too great, so I have to stay away from it. After coming back in 2015, I quit again just 3 months later. Now the sands of time will reduce my gear to worthlessness yet again, but that is okay. I can always just come back again. ;) I log on every once in a while. Feel free to send me some mail. The name's still "Rose"
Other MMO's: I'm a beast on Spiral Knights, I have all the 5* sets and love to pvp and kick Vanna's butt. I also have 2 lvl 60's on Vindictus (former max lvl), a scythe Evie and an Arisha. I played mostly during beta and trained both my lvl 60's in about 2 weeks total. Oh, and my Arisha is tricked out in all black and neon green gear. Getting the perfect dyes was excrutiating.
OpenArena, Nexuiz: Fast-paced arena shooters are where the real FPS pros are at! I love these kind of Quake-based games. I have been playing Nexuiz since 2008, but I am not a pro. Some players out there are so good it's scary.
